Schritt 1 / 2 - Holzleisten beizen

Als Hilfsmittel haben sich bei mir bewährt: eine kleine Säge, verschiedene Borstenpinsel, ein Skalpell und eine Drahtbürste. Farben nutze ich in Form von Beize (ich nehme immer die Beize von Clou), verschieden Pastellkreiden und gewöhnliche matte Modellbaufarben. Statt der Beize kann man natürlich auch auf Wasserfarben zurück greifen, allerdings wird bei Wasserfarbe die Maserung des Holzes nicht sonderlich ausgeprägt.

Zunächst beginnen wir damit dem Holz die passende Grundfärbung mittels Beize zu geben. Im vorgestelltem Beispiel handelt es sich um einen alten verwitterten und halb verfallen Weidezaun, also beize ich das Holz mit seiner Grundfarbe dunkelgrau. Dunkelgrau deshalb, weil Weidezäune selten gestrichen wurden und so der Witterung direkt ausgesetzt sind, also wird das Holz mit der Zeit vom Regen ausgewaschen und von der Sonne ausgeblichen. Einen gestrichenen Zaun beizt man jedoch in einem passendem Braunton. Dies lassen wir gut durchtrocknen, am Besten über Nacht.
